2002 focus svt manual transmission issue... engine over revs in 5 and 6th.?

I just had my manual transmission replaced on the focus svt. It feels good in 1st through 4th, but when I shift it into 5th the engine revs higher than usual. I also try in sixth and the same thing. Is this a normal issue with new clutch replacement, maybe shift linkage or something? It also feels like there is more play in my shifter. any ideas.? I'll be in 4th at normal rpm, say 4000, then shift to 5th, and shoots up to 5000, same in 6th.
