Should intolerance be tolerated?

I don't think the issue is tolerance. What they (the extremists) did was wrong, and they should be punished for it. If those who carry out this punishment are called intolerant and hypocrites, so be it. If one side is right and another is wrong, why should the right hold back? why would the wrong hold back?
