Opinion on these books?

As I would recommend both books by Hosseini, you should try to mix up authors to give you a better overall perspective. With that being said I would go with The Kite Runner, which is an astounding piece of writing that should remain timeless. Also go with A Long Way Gone as it will provide you with a very favorable aesthetically pleasing approach to human creativity and penmanship at its finest. Btw I have read all of these and know you will not regret these two.
